I lost the remote to my car alarm system how do i replace it?

Is it possible to buy a new car alarm remote for my car's alarm system and some how configure it to match the frequencies of my original car alarm or whatever. Or do I have to purchase a new car alarm system entirely?

Go to where-ever installed the car alarm (mine wasn't done by the dealer, it was an auto place).

They'll give you a new remote to go w/ the car alarm. It'll cost about $80 (that's what they charged me).

I bought a remote start engine car alarm system for $500. How much for installation?

How much would it cost me to send it to Best Buy, Circuite City or any other place to have them install it. The alarm system starts my car, pops trunk, window roll up, etc. Can you give me an estimate of what you think it would cost?

Reminder, I bought this on online.

Depends on the car.

Some are easy while others take 4 hours and a lot of labor.

Most cases - 150-200.

Worst case - 151.-400.00

I sell 3 different styles in my shop and none are even close to 500.00.

I have an alpine sec-8027 alarm system in my car now.. i brought the car with out the remote and i dont wish to rip it all out and purchase a new system.. thing is they dont make the remote anymore in the US.. so i was wandering if i could buy a different remote from a alpine alarm system and program it to work with my current system thanks

Picking up my Jeep Wednesday. The 2008 Wranger Rubicon Unlimited comes with a Sentury key and a car alarm, but so far, I can't find any info on the car alarm like when it is activated, or if it is motion sensitive, etc.

What is the alarm system? Do I need to add additional alarm features for added security? I'm considering a motion sensor ... LoJack.

(Already getting the dealership to install a hood lock, wheel locks and locking gas cap.)

The alarm activates when u lock the car with ur keyless entry and deactivates when its unlocked. You prob dont need anything extra froa dded seccurtiy becuase if they break a window and open the door from inside the alarm will sound. And if they try to start the car while the alarm is still activated the alarm will sound. Lo Jack is also a good thing to get even if you have a great alarm system.

Who would you call to pull out an alarm system from your car?

I recently lost my keys to my car as well as the remote clicker for my car alarm. I had to call a locksmith out to have my car re-keyed. I then had to cut the wire leading to the horn of my security alarm to keep it from going off. It was a nightmare !! Now nothing works in my car. My door locks don't work and my radio doesn't work because everything worked off that alarm. Thank god I didn't add an ignition shut off with my alarm system. Please help and give me advise on who I can call in the Los Angeles area that can pull out my alarm system. Thanks.

call your local car audio/sercurity shop.They may be able to get you a new remote
