Hassan hesitates, but he finally sees the diverting dismiss when President Taylor tells him that if this nuclear bomb explodes in New York Borough, the United States will attack his country.

Knowing full well what happens to a Halfway Eastern country that is attacked by the US, Hassan decides that it would indubitably be to his advantage if his country wasn't occupied by US forces for the next…oh, I don't identify…50 years maybe? He relents and, conveniently, for the profoundly audience, promises the files within the hour.

Where so i attach the end of a tow strap on a car?

My friend got his civic stuck in a mud ditch and i want to use my jeep to pull him out but have never tried to pull a car before. I dont want to break anything. I have a tow strap loop end type.
I have tow hooks..just need to know where to hook onto teh civic at hehe

ok first if you have never pulled a car before or ever had training in how to do it might wat to leave it to the experts. with that said from your tow hitch or crossmember on your jeep attach one end of rope there and be sure that it is secure. then for the car undr the front bumper ther ar two tow hitch hooks, these are uses in transport and also for when the vechile is being towed on a flatbed or needs to be pulled from somewhere, attach the other end of rope to one of those securely. make sure your jeep is in 4 wheel low and that there is a little bit of slack in the rope before you start to pull. if the jeep is automatic put it in the lowest drive gear you have (drive 1)(only if the jeep has its rearend pointed at the car and rope is directly from the rear) if it is stick keep it in first gear (again only if the jeep has its rearend pointed at the car and rope is directly from the rear) if jeeps front end is facing the vehicle then use reverse. make sure the car is in nuetral. pull the rope till it tenses up and then give the jeep more gas. as long as the car is not sunk down to its doors in dirt you should be able to do it this way, if it is sunk down that far get ready for a lot of digging. idealy the best way to pull a vehicle out of a spot like this is to have a whinch and use the power of the winch to draw the vehicle out as you continue to back up further from the area it is in untill it is out. now as far as damaging your friends car first if they are a true friend they wouldn't care so much about it because it was their stupidity that got the car stuck you did or tried to do the friendly thing by getting them out so in that sense the thought of a lawsuit should not cross thier mind, if it does however you would be protected under the good amaritans act that says anyone trying to help out another person when they have been asked to and is not a commercial business is not liable for nor can be sued for any damage occurring to the persons property that needed help period end of subject.

Tow/recovery strap capacity rating question?

Vehicle X weighs 3500lbs, vehicle Y also weighs 3500lbs. Does the strap need to be rated for 7000 or 3500lbs minimum?

Which would you use to pull a vehicle from the snow? A tow strap or recovery strap?

It needs to be rated for about twice the weight of the vehicle being pulled or 7,000 lbs. for safety. You always want a strap that's rated for more weight than you are either pulling or lifting. Most will say 50% over but I like to be conservative. If that sucker breaks under strain it can take your head off when it whips back or do a lot of damage to the car if it hits that. What I really prefer is a 10K chain.

Tow strap vs recovery strap...what's the difference and...?

how do I select the rating/capacity of the strap? Should the tow/recovery strap load capacity fit the sum of the two vehicles being towed or just the heavier of the two?

There is a difference between a tow strap and recovery strap that is not at first obvious.

A tow strap has little or no stretch when under load and is ideal for use when assisting a broken down vehicle along the trail and can have use when winching.

Recovery straps do have stretch and this is useful when stuck because the strap stores kinetic energy from the tow vehicle as it moves forward which helps release the stuck vehicle even in poor traction conditions.

However the stretch can cause problems if these straps are used when winching.

The heavier the rating for both vehicles will always be better......

You need to have the right weight ratio for your strap and then I would suggest a tow strap. The chain is just a pain sometimes. So, Jeremy Toubl, I say us a tow strap.
