How to hook up mt back up lights assembly [pigtail]?

1984 f-250 doesnt have back up lights also no pig tails to connect bulps in . Went to local auto store and purchase new pig tails now im no electrician but how hard should it be , well i have a red wire, white wire , and black wire , but on my truck i only see two wires comming out of harness a black wire and black with red stripe . Can someone help me hook this up right ?

SOLID BLACK ON THE TRUCK IS A GROUND, THE STRIPED ONE IS A HOT WIRE AND THE PIGTAIL YOU HAVE IS AS FOLLOWS,RED= BRAKES,WHITE=GROUND AND BLACK=MARKERS, SO JUST HOOK THE STRIPED WIRE TO THE BLACK ON THE PIGTAIL AND THE WHITE ON THE SOLID BLACK ON YOUR TRUCK.

Why won't my back up lights work?

I have changed the bulbs in my back up lights but they still won't work. Can someone tell me what the problem might be? I own a 1990 GMC Suburban.

There is a contact switch on the shift mechanism . . . it's a lot like the one that is on the brake pedal . . . if it fails, no lights.

Other thing to check is the fuse panel, but if all your other signal light are hot, I doubt that's it.

Checked Back up light fuse in fuse box on left side of istrument panel and it was not blown. Both sides are out but top tailight/brake light/ directional lights are fine. White light and lower red lights are out in the rear?

the back up light switch has went out on it,that's why neither one of them are working,have it replaced,or have a shop check it,you can take and turn the key on with the e-brake on and check for power in the sockets where the bulb goes with it in reverse just to confirm both of them have no power on them,any shop can make this repair in a little while,good luck with it.

Back-up lights don't work on 2005 Chevy Cobalt?

The back-up lights on my 2005 Chevy Cobalt don't work. I've checked the bulbs and the fuses and both are fine. All the other tail lights work just fine and the wiring for all the tail lights is clustered together at the light. Any ideas?

that's the second one of those i have heard of that did this,the back up light switch may have went out on it,this one should still be under warranty,so id take it back in,they should cover this repair ,it seems those do have weak switches on them,and that's what causes this to happen,its no big deal if you have to buy it ,the switch cost like 20 bucks ,good luck on it.

How do you get the back up lights on the 99 plymouth grand voyager to work (bulbs and fuses all good)?

I have a 99 plymouth grand voyager and the reverse lights will not work anymore. One day they both worked and the next day neither of them work! Can anyone help?

Not sure if its the same, but probably similar.
There is a switch on the transmission that turns them on and off.
I had a different model chrysler and the switch was like a hundred bucks. I removed it and very carefully dismantled it. It was packed with grease that got hard and would not allow it to work freely. I cleaned it up and put new grease in it. Works fine. watch for springs.
I am pretty sure your problem is something like this.
(Assuming both bulbs didnt go out at the same time!)

Introducing Lights Out

Foregather Luke “Lights Out” Louis, my closer in the Texas Rangers’ system. Pitching for the Frisco Uncut Riders, he was anything but lights out. The big problem he had was with batters hitting the ball sound back up the middle, one after another. He finished his first year in Folded-A, but pitched just well enough (3.03 ERA with 32 Ks in 21 games) to get a happen suddenly training invite with the father club.

He came up and had a decorous first appearance, but his second racket was a save situation. The stress was on! He gave up two quick hits to put runners on sec on third, but struck out the next two hitters to topple b reduce up what could be the last batter, or possibly the friendly run.

Luke was Lights Out and slammed the door with another K. The Angels never knew what hit ‘em. Luke only has a fastball and a slider, and neither is very conscientious, but he’s learning. Maybe one day he’ll honestly live up to his nickname.
