MOSS Issue -- Midway through the third quarter of Monday's Class 5A pomp playoff opener, Stone coach Todd Miller looked down his bench and shrugged his shoulders in frustration.

how much does it cost to get a stone guard sprayed on the bottom 8 inches of my 1997 gmc Z71.?

Way cheap! Go to Home Depot-maybe lowes too, but I know HD has it. Buy the bed liner stuff. It's black, cost less than $20 a quart(that's enough to do the strip, probably) and rolls on. It goes on close to 1/16" thick and looks professional(my son-on-law put it on the shower floors in his rent houses and it looks really good. Just mask off the area to treat. make real sure the line of demarcation is straight. and put it on. Read the label about what prep work you might need to do. But, you should get out for less than $30.
Another option would be to put stainless steel on that area. JC Whitney www.jcwhitney.com will have that to put on(it just sticks on), another option would be to put on a clear plastic tape( it can be purchased in 5 3/4" and 8" by different lengths. It's about 4mil thick and realllly tough(they put it on the front of the big motorhomes to protect them) it's available at jc whitney and also pep boys(I think)

THIS IS IMPORTANT!!!! what ever you do, if you do it yourself, make sure the area to be treated is clean and DRY. You don't want any moisture or debris trapped under what ever you put on. I'm wanting to put the clear stuff on the front of my car(and get rid of the bra), but it has so many twists and turns and grills etc tha it sorta intimidates me, but I haven't found anyone who installs it on the front of cars. Straight runseven with curves) are pretty easy, but the front end of a pointy car, and all the openings in the dash. A Z71 should be pretty easy.

hi just put some stonechip gaurd underneath my car
will the stonechip guard be waterproof and will i be able to jet wash it when its mucky without it flaking off?

Absolutely. If your under carriage was cleaned and prepped correctly before applying the chip guard, you wouldn't be able to get it off if you tryed. It is very similar to a bed-liner product. It may chalk-out (fade) over time but you should not have any problems with it chipping-off.Tip: If this is newly applied to your vehicle, make sure you have allowed the proper curing-time before you do any "jet-washing".

Here's a link to buy them and as they're sold by an accessory dealer I'm sure he will tell you how to fit them if it's not obvious (that is if the clips or brackets are not supplied with the stone guards)
I assumed this is for an original mini and not the BMW version, you don't specify

How critical is the under-chin front splash guard on an '01 Honda Accord? My girlfriend keeps ripping it out while backing over the snow and ice at the end of the driveway. I've repaired it before by just wiring it up but now it's really getting ragged. If I just cut it off will that expose the engine to harmful debris/water/stones/etc.?

its essentially a debris shield. I would keep puting it back up with zip-ties because i've seen people who drive without them pick up garbage bags and stuff that get tangled up in the engine drive belts. The odds aren't great that will happen but if its manageable, I'd recommend you leave it on. Zip ties work the best in terms of keeping it up and out of the way.
