Are there tire repair kits for a partially bald tire?

Story is, i had a close call with a stupid and/or drunk driver and my car's front left tire locked up while braking and balded a part of the tread. I noticed this when i started driving and that one tire is making the front of the car bump and shake real bad. I was just wondering if there was any repair kit to temporarily correct it because all the tires are brand new!

I had similar problems last week and was glad I got my repairs covered under my extended warranty. extended warranties are cheaper if you buy them aftermarket. http://www.americaschoicetoday.com/Auto-Warranty.html

I stabbed the surround of my Kicker sub. Its one of those square ones. Whats the best way to go about repair?

Can a vehicle tire be repaired if it's been stabbed with a pocket knife?
I'm praying that there's someone out there who knows the secret to repairing a car tire that's been stabbed in the sidewall. I am a single mom, who can't afford to purchase another tire for my vehicle. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer this question.

* I have the following items to work with ... a tire repair kit and rubber cement glue. If I need something else, please let me know.

Definitely not. Any damage to a tyre's sidewall means it's totally unsafe. (I had a cheap remould tyre blow out on me on the motorway... not a pleasant experience, I can assure you... and yes, it was because the sidewall had been compromised.)

Have you got a spare tyre?
If not, I'd suggest taking heed of some of your countrymen's advice, and see if you can get a second hand tyre.

You really shouldn't put a budget on safety, especially when you have young ones to fend for.
Just to underline my message.....

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR A TYRE WITH A HOLE IN IT'S SIDEWALL!!! IT'S POTENTIALLY LETHAL!!!

energy bar
road flares
tire repair kit


what else would you include?

Booster cables, tire pump, travel candles, waterproof matches, aluminum cup (you can use it over a candle to melt snow for water), candy such as jelly beans (quick sugar helps counteract hypothermia), blanket, a hat such as a toque (you lose most heat through your head), flashlight, instant soup packets, dried fruit and nuts, waterproof poncho, shovel.

how to patch a low profile tire?

I have a screw in the middle of my 20 inch tire. Its not on the sidewall. Its right inbetween the treads in the middle. The tire places by my house won't touch it because its a low profile tire, and there's one place that will plug it, but I heard that's bad because it makes the hole bigger. Is there a repair kit I can buy to patch it myself and how do I do it? Is it hard to do? What are some tips? Thanks

Some shops may not be able to handle wheels that large. Others may not want the liability because a repair on a low profile tire voids the speed rating.

You can't patch it yourself because a patch is applied from the inside. You would have to dismount the tire, perform the repair, re-mount and re-balance the tire. I'm guessing you don't have the $8,000 worth of equipment in your garage needed to do that.

Plugs, while they are DIY are not an approved repair on any radial tire and will void all warranties on the tire. They also have a high failure rate and can cause as much or more damage as they fix.

The other day I drove about 2 miles between berth buildings, briefly went core the office and returned to my car about 5 minutes later to find the driver’s side raise tire was completely flat! I was asking myself “Now how did that turn up?!” because the car handled well on the slight trip over.
