The Argosy’s fourth annual “Save- A-Sentience” tour used a lot of different venues to get the communiqu out: “Don’t Drink and Drive.”
The experience, which was sponsored by Navy Personnel Command in Millington, Tenn., drew a horde of more than 1,000 people to Fort Gordon Feb. 10 - 12. The program is scheduled as part of a 120-day “Set free-A-Life” tour for Navy commands across the realm and overseas. This year the event at Fort Gordon was extended from two to three days and ice-free to all service members, the post community and the public.
The “Keep-A-Life” tour helps commands maintain change in attitude and behavior through awareness, while deglamorizing juice use in the areas of driving under the influence/driving while intoxicated, underage drinking and alcoholrelated fatalities, according to Vince Krajcir, Armada Information Operations Command Georgia’s new Treatment and Alcohol Program advisor at Fort Gordon.
One of the means to show how true belongings military working dogs are at detecting illegal drugs was demonstrated by military dog handlers Mace Sgt. Roland Brown, Sgt. Allen Anstee and Sgt. Albert Gilbert and their specialized trained German Shepherds 10 a.m. Feb. 10 and 11 at Gym 3. The members of the 35th Military Police officers Detachment ran the dogs through a basic obedience demo and a search of divers pieces of luggage with planted “simulated” marijuana in one holdall. It took only a few minutes of sniffing before the drugs were found.

RAM 1500 SLT. I have not bought any "only 19.95 and you will get 97 mpg!" but is there anything I can do to it? has the normal V-8, standard tires, no cap, any ideas? I get to drive, I mean clean it on Sundays, but would love to get a bag to PUT HER INTO!, NO, NO..sorry...... I mean, any way to get this gas hog to get over 20MPG?
I forgot to add this is a 2006 Dodge RAM 1500SLT, approx. 16,000 miles, of which I have driven 100.
It isn't that easy to improve gas mileage. I'm assuming you aren't able to work around a car, or aren't knowledgeable when it comes to cars, or else you would know what to do.Gas mileage is one big calculation, that includes:drag(weight),wind resistance,# of cylinders; fuel filter, fuel injector condition, spark plug condition etc. I could go on and on, but I think you get the idea. The MPG has to do with the condition of the engine, and the type of car(weight). To improve MPG easily, with nothing but your hands and a few common tools, you can start with purchasing a high-flow air filter. That will let the engine breathe easier.That takes maybe 5 minutes to install. Then, you can get a tune-up, and ask them to check your fuel system,spark plugs(unless they do that already),and overall condition of the engine. Than you can get smaller tires. That decreases unsprung weight(weight not being carried by the suspension system)which decreases drag.Other than that, the air filter is the only "bolt on/kit" to improve gas mileage.There's SO much more, but only if you want to spend a couple grand, which you will spend in "extra" gas anyway. Truck is daily driven, and I just want up and down capabilities. Also I'm on a tight budget. I plan to put 15 by 8s on the front, and 15 by 10s on the rear. Will I have to cut the fenderwells.
Yes, there are kits available. More than likely, you will not have to cut the fenderwells.
Go by your local bookstore and purchase a couple truck magazines. You're bound to find a manufacturer.

i have a friend who owns a 89 ford ranger and says there is a company that makes a bolt on kit to make that look like an 30's style model A truck . Anyone????
Try going to classic trucks.com. There's a lot of information about ford and chevy classic trucks. You can also google that information in and you would be surprised of the infomation that you would get!! It's defintely looking into. Good luck!!

Why do people buy these kits if all they have to do is tighten the bolt on the torsion bar?

I have a 96 chevrolet truck, half ton, full size rwd, with an automatic in it. it has lost reverse. I have access to a 95 transmission but the wiring harness is supposedly different. Is there any way to make the 95 work in the 96 truck such as a wiring adapter kit etc. If so any idea as to where to get such a thing. I know everything else will bolt up it is just the electronic issue. thanks for your time. chris
the newer trans has different computer to operate the shift you need a pro to work this out for you. the wires go in to the valve body. you may be able to use the old valve body. Go on line to ASK. type in transmission mods or, get in touch with a hot rod shop and ask about the conversion from year to year.
